Service Details

A fresh Windows installation is the foundation of a fast, reliable gaming PC. Over time, every Windows system accumulates clutter — leftover files from uninstalled programs, outdated drivers, registry fragments, background services that nobody remembers installing, and trial software that came pre-loaded with your hardware. This accumulated mess is invisible but it affects everything — from how fast your games launch to how smoothly they run. A clean install wipes all of it away and gives you a system that performs exactly how it's supposed to.

This service is designed for gamers who want the benefits of a fresh install without the headache of doing it themselves. A DIY Windows install is technically possible but it's full of pitfalls — wrong driver order, missing chipset updates, incorrect partition setup, activation issues, driver conflicts that cause random crashes months later. I've done this thousands of times, I know every quirk of every motherboard and GPU brand, and I can get your system running perfectly in a single session while you watch.

Why You Might Need a Fresh Windows Install

Most gamers need a fresh install more than they realize. Here are the situations where this service makes the biggest difference:

Your PC used to feel faster. If your gaming PC was noticeably snappier when you first got it but has slowed down over months or years, accumulated software clutter is almost certainly the cause. A fresh install restores that "new PC" feeling immediately.

You bought a prebuilt PC. Manufacturers like Dell, HP, Lenovo, and even gaming brands like Alienware and MSI preload their PCs with bloatware, trial software, and telemetry tools that hurt gaming performance. A clean install removes all of this and gives you a pure gaming machine.

You just built a new PC. Even a brand new build benefits from a clean professional install. Default Windows setup skips optimal driver order, misses important Windows settings, and often installs generic drivers that aren't ideal for gaming hardware.

You've been messing with optimization scripts. If you've run optimization tools, debloat scripts, or followed YouTube "FPS boost" tutorials, your system might have settings changed that you can't undo. A fresh install wipes all of that and gives you a clean, stable starting point.

You're having random crashes or BSODs. Software-related crashes often trace back to driver conflicts or corrupted system files that can only be fully fixed with a fresh install.

You're upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11. An upgrade install carries over all the old clutter from Windows 10. A clean Windows 11 install gives you the real modern experience.

You want to sell or gift the PC. A fresh install is the right way to hand a PC over to someone else — it wipes all your personal data and gives them a clean system to set up as their own.

What This Service Includes

Clean Windows Installation

I install a fresh copy of Windows 10 or Windows 11 — your choice based on your hardware and preferences. I use the latest official installation media directly from Microsoft, so you're getting genuine, fully-supported Windows. During installation, I configure the partition layout correctly for your SSD or hard drive setup, skip unnecessary Windows features that just add bloat, and set up your user account with privacy-focused defaults rather than the telemetry-heavy settings Microsoft pushes by default.

Complete Driver Installation

After Windows is installed, I install every driver your system needs in the correct order. This matters more than most people realize. Installing drivers in the wrong order is one of the most common causes of system instability — conflicts and leftover files from improperly sequenced installs cause crashes and performance issues that can haunt your PC for years.

The correct order is: chipset drivers first (they set the foundation for how Windows talks to your motherboard), then storage drivers (for your SSDs and NVMe drives), then network and audio drivers, and finally the GPU driver. I pull drivers directly from manufacturer websites rather than relying on Windows' generic auto-detected drivers, which are often outdated or wrong version.

Windows Update Setup

Windows Update is powerful but its default behavior is terrible for gamers. I bring your Windows fully up to date, then configure Update to run on YOUR schedule rather than Microsoft's. Nothing ruins a gaming session faster than Windows deciding to download a 5GB update right when you're queuing for ranked. I also configure Update to defer feature updates (which often break things) while still receiving security patches promptly.

Essential Runtime Installation

Many PC games need runtime libraries to launch — DirectX, Visual C++ redistributables, .NET frameworks, and specific DLLs. Windows doesn't install all of these by default. I install the full suite of gaming runtimes so your games launch without "missing DLL" errors or mysterious crashes on first launch.

Windows Defender Configuration

Windows Defender is good antivirus, but its default settings cause real problems for gamers. Real-time scanning of game files during loading causes stutters in many titles. I configure Defender with exclusions for your game folders, Steam library, Epic Games library, and other common gaming paths — while keeping your system fully protected against actual threats.

Bloatware & Telemetry Removal

Windows comes with a lot of pre-installed apps you don't need — Xbox Game Bar features, Cortana components, OneDrive integration, news and weather widgets, and promotional apps. I remove these cleanly rather than just hiding them. I also disable the telemetry and data collection services that constantly report back to Microsoft, which both improves privacy and reduces background CPU usage.

Basic Performance Tuning

After Windows is fully installed and cleaned up, I apply basic performance tuning — configuring the power plan for balanced gaming performance, adjusting startup programs, optimizing visual effects, and setting up essential services. This isn't the full deep optimization that comes with my Optimization service, but it's enough to give you a genuinely game-ready system out of the gate.

Game-Ready Desktop Setup

Before I hand the system back, I install common game launchers (Steam, Epic Games, Battle.net, etc. based on what you use), configure display settings for your monitor, set up audio devices correctly, and verify everything is working. You can literally start downloading games the moment our session ends.

How It Works

Step 1 — Order & Schedule Complete checkout and I'll message you on Discord within 1 hour (during working hours) to schedule our session.

Step 2 — Pre-Session Prep I'll send you a simple preparation checklist — back up any files you want to keep from your C: drive, have a USB drive ready (8GB minimum), and gather your Windows license key if you have one. If you don't have a USB drive or license, let me know and we'll figure out the best path forward.

Step 3 — Live Installation Session We connect on Discord and AnyDesk. You watch everything in real time as I install Windows, configure drivers, and set up your system. The full session typically takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on your internet speed (for driver downloads) and hardware.

Step 4 — Verification & Handoff Before we end the session, I verify everything works — audio, network, display, storage, game launchers. You launch a game or two to confirm things are running correctly.

Step 5 — Ongoing Support After the session, you have lifetime Discord access for any questions. If you run into issues a week later, a month later, or a year later, just message me.

Who This Service Is For

This is the right service if you fit any of these:

  • You're setting up a brand new PC and want it done professionally

  • Your current Windows install is old, bloated, or feels slow

  • You've tried optimization tools and want to start fresh

  • You're upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and want a clean install

  • You bought a used PC and want to wipe it completely

  • You're having persistent system crashes or driver issues

  • You want the foundation of a gaming PC without paying for full optimization yet

This is NOT the right service if:

  • You want maximum performance gains — in that case, go with Full Bundle ($100) which includes a fresh install PLUS complete optimization and overclocking

  • You have a specific game crash issue — the Game Crash Fix service ($25) is more targeted

  • You want overclocking included — you'd need PC Optimization ($75) or Full Bundle ($100)

Windows Installation vs. Other Services — Which Do I Need?

I offer this service at different levels depending on what you need. Here's how they compare:

Windows Installation ($35) — What you're looking at now. Clean install, drivers, updates, basic tuning. Perfect if you want a fresh start without the full optimization package.

PC Optimization & Overclocking ($75) — Skips the Windows install but includes deep system optimization, CPU and GPU overclocking, and game-specific tuning. Choose this if your current Windows is already fresh and clean.

Full Bundle ($100) — Combines this Windows Installation service with the full Optimization service. The best possible result for $35 more than optimization-only. Most clients choose this option for the biggest performance gains.

If you're unsure which service is right for you, message me on Discord before ordering — I'll recommend the right one based on your situation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I lose all my files?

A fresh install wipes your C: drive, so anything on your primary drive will be erased. Files on secondary drives (D:, E:, etc.) are typically safe, but I always recommend backing up anything important before our session just to be safe. If you need help with the backup process, I can guide you through it before we start. I'll also send you a pre-session checklist with exactly what to back up.

Do I need to provide a Windows license?

If your PC already has a Windows license, we can reuse it — licenses are tied to your hardware and Microsoft will usually reactivate automatically after installation. If you don't have a license, I can help you get one before our session starts. I only use official Microsoft Windows. Nothing cracked, nothing pirated, nothing sketchy.

How long does the installation take?

The complete session typically takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours. The Windows installation itself takes about 20-30 minutes. Driver installation adds another 30-45 minutes depending on your internet speed. The rest of the time is spent on configuration, updates, and verification. I don't rush — if your system needs extra time, I take the extra time.

What's the difference between Windows 10 and Windows 11 for gaming?

Both work well for gaming. Windows 11 has slightly better scheduling for modern CPUs with performance and efficiency cores (Intel 12th gen and newer, AMD Zen 4). For older CPUs, Windows 10 often feels smoother. If you're not sure which to pick, I can recommend the best choice based on your specific hardware during our session.

Will my games need to be reinstalled?

Yes, any games on your C: drive will need to be reinstalled. If your games are on a secondary drive, you can often keep them — Steam, Epic, and other launchers can detect existing game files and skip the full reinstall. I'll walk you through this process during our session.

Do you install pirated software or cracks?

No. I only install legitimate, licensed software. If you want a fresh Windows install that's properly licensed and fully supported, that's what I deliver. Pirated installs cause more problems than they solve — they miss updates, have hidden malware risks, and can't be properly supported.

What if something goes wrong during the install?

I've performed thousands of Windows installations without major issues. If we do run into a hardware quirk or driver problem, I troubleshoot it live during the session — you're not left figuring things out on your own. If for any reason we can't complete the installation during our scheduled time, we reschedule and finish later at no extra cost.

Will this service improve my FPS?

You'll see some improvement over a bloated or old Windows install, but for significant FPS gains you want the Full Bundle ($100) or PC Optimization ($75). This service focuses on getting a clean, stable, game-ready foundation — it's not a performance optimization service by itself. Think of it as the prerequisite for real optimization rather than optimization itself.

Can you do this on a laptop?

Yes, this service works perfectly for laptops. Fresh Windows installs often have an even bigger impact on laptops because manufacturers tend to preload them with more bloatware than desktops. I can install drivers for all major laptop brands including ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI, Razer, and Acer.

What about my antivirus and security software?

Windows Defender (included free with Windows) is excellent for most users and I configure it properly during the install. If you want to use a paid antivirus like Bitdefender, ESET, or Malwarebytes, you can install it after our session — just let me know during the session and I can install it for you. I don't install free antivirus products like Avast or AVG — they tend to be more invasive than helpful.

Will my PC run Windows 11? My current PC says it doesn't meet the requirements.

If your current Windows 10 PC shows compatibility warnings for Windows 11, it's usually due to TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, or CPU requirements. Sometimes these can be enabled in BIOS — I'll check during our session and let you know if Windows 11 is realistic for your hardware. If not, Windows 10 is still fully supported and excellent for gaming.
